You’ll notice that Whedon picked very specific targets for his bullying too! They were usually new in the industry, didn’t have a wide body of work behind them, women, or PoC. And if you’re were all these things, he would have field day, as in Ray Fisher’s case. (He tried it with Godot, and she got him checked!)

Whedon has always had a special problem with black male actors, and has always pretty much ignored the existence of women of color most of the time. At the same time he doesn’t seem to bully powerful (or men he perceives as having power) white men. Notice how actors with established careers, like Affleck, Downey, and the other white men on any of his sets, don’t have these types of stories.
