You never got an answer because the so called "good men" who would NEVER harm a woman, are directly benefitting from the violence those other men are willing to perpetrate. If women are terrified of the truly bad ones, and another one comes along who promises he's not like that and you can trust him, then he is socially benefitting from the violence of other men! He is unwilling to call out the violence of those other men because the threat of that violence will drive women into his arms. All he has to do is look better than them by comparison!
