You make it sound like we invented that term. We didn't invent the term. We're calling white people what they decided they wanted to be called. Now that they feel like there are negative connotations, they want to change the term and they are correct. I have no issue with people who do not want to be referred to as white because they feel its insulting to their cultural heritage, though. They can call themselves whatever they want, but until y'all come up with a different name for mixed ethnicity/cultured, people of pallor, the term "white" is all we got.

Maybe you can suggest a new name for pale skinned people with mixed cultural identities or who don't want to be called "white". I don't know.
