You are correct and you should say it! You need to call us out on our bullshit, not just because it’s wrong to do to others, what’s been done to us, but because attacking Asian Americans, regardless of how any of them might feel about us, fixes none of the problems we have. It solves none of our problems to victimize them!

We’re just doing the work of white supremacy, which would prefer us to be at each other’s throats. We need to recognize that Asian Americans are not responsible for our situation here, and are trying to navigate this situation the best they can. Are some of them making the bad choice to be racist? Yes. But how does proving them right, by attacking them, fix them this problem?

It doesn’t.

In African American culture we revere our elders. How can we then treat the elders of other cultures so horribly! Imma call out wrong when I see it, and this is just wrong, and we should be ashamed of ourselves, for joining in trump’s white nonsense!

Asian Americans are not a monolith either, and reaching out to connect with some of the many different groups works better than attacking all of them. I know, through my relationships with the few Asian Americans I’ve met, that we have far more in common with each other than is different!
