Yes, women get lonely too, but I observed that the way loneliness is talked about when it's women is for people to either mock her for being alone, or tell her to settle for having a romantic relationship with one of the many subpar men in her orbit.

As if the only choices to be had are for her to just be lonely, or start a relationship with a man who will emotionally disrespect and abuse her. (She doesn't want a romance. She just wants people to hang out with that like her.)

I have never heard anyone (especially men) give these women advice on how to make women friends.
