Yes. I've been trying to stress this to people. It is utterly impossible for any person who lives along any vector of marginalization to be in an echo chamber about their life. When you're out and about, you can be blindsided out of nowhere, at any time , by a drive-by harassment or bullying attack. And often, it's just for existing in a space someone has claimed as theirs! (Usually white, and usually a man, although white cis-women can catch some of this smoke too.)
I'm going to argue that marginalized people NEED echo chambers. Places where our identities are affirmed, and we can breathe free, knowing that an attack on who you are is a lot less likely to fall on you out of the blue.
