Yes! I consider this not a problem of the stories themselves but one of the side effects of having all our narratives of rebellion written by the one small demographic that has traditionally been responsible for the most acts of violence against every other marginalized group in the US: straight white western men. Every one of the stories mentioned in this article was written by that privileged demographic, and killing people to change the world is a pretty common narrative in Western stories because of that.
