Yes!!
I said this before. Up to now the entire genre has been dominated by the fears of white straight men (not that the stuff they created wasn't scary, a lot of it just wasn't the kind of horror that resonated deeply with people who weren't them). They are operating from a very specific place in how they view the world and what they think is frightening.
Women and PoC have a different focus and priority when creating Horror, and Its about time we go to see more of what scares us, rather than what a very specific demographic (of straight, cisgender, white, Western, able-bodied, men) is frightened of. Because sometimes what frightens marginalized people are the kinds of men who write allegories of the rest of us as monsters.
