When a person uses up your time and energy by having you explain to them over and over why they need to respect you. It’s meant to drain your energy, and waste your time. Sometimes they’re not there to learn, or reach a consensus on the truth, but to win a fight. You’ll put in a bunch or research finding sources, quotes, and writing whole damn essays, only for them to not read any of it, shift the goalposts, or argue about something you never said.

I always tell such people that I’m not doing their home work on this topic, and that Google is free.
