Yeah, if one flies a Nazi flag in ones front yard, my automatic assumption is that you agree with their philosophy. If I fly a flag in my yard that belongs to another country, it's probably safe to assume Im either from there or have some personal connection to that country like the Russian or Ukrainian flag for example.

So, if someone flies the flag of people who were well documented and known traitors and racists in their front yard, people who know how history works are going to naturally assume you agree with those sentiments, and no amount of obfuscation about it's meaning is going to change the assumption.
