Woke is a method of survival, stating ever vigilant to what bigoted institutions (and those who actively support them) are ready to do next to impede our progress. They can be as derogatory about the term as they want (hell a year from now they will have forgotten the word even existed and moved on to something else to deride because they have the world's shortest attention spans), but we will still continue to use the word to survive.
