When I was in college, I met more than a few Indian women who were some of the loudest people I have ever met. Since I too, grew up hearing all the stereotypes of all Asian people being quiet math prodigies, who played the violin, I absolutely loved it!

Also while in college, I met a Japanese guy who was infuriatingly opinionated, a Korean girl who took me my to my first Rock concert, a Korean guy that I was totally crushing on because he knew how to mack and spoke fluent AAVE, and a quiet and shy Chinese girl, who also happened to be a phenomenal draftsman.

Meeting such wildly different characters, will completely disabuse anyone of the idea that all Asian Americans are quiet and studious.
