What you just did in this conversation is the very definition of white feminism and I'm tired of you and done with this conversation. I don't have the energy, patience, or emotional bandwidth to deal with your gaslighting, whitesplaining, or you speaking and asserting yourself over my actual lived experience as a black woman, insisting that that woman gave a single flying damn about women like me, and also referring to white women as Mama! Hilary cared about making Hilary look good to further her own career.

You can love Hilary all want but I have very concrete reasons for not giving a shit about her. I told you what my reasons were for not liking her but you continue to talk over me, question my life experiences and observations, and try to sell her to me as a champion of Black women solely because you, another white feminist, happen to like her! What you just did to me in this conversation is the reason I don't interact with women like you. Like all white feminists you didn't listen to me. You just wanted to assert your beliefs.

Nah, imma stick with Black women. They need me more than y'all do, and white women like you ain't doing shit. Hilary didn't do a damn thing to make my life or the lives of any of the black or Indigenous women I know better by pretending to be tough on crime! I don't care how much you love her or how much she impacted you or made YOUR life feel safer. A win for white women doesn't mean that ALL women win. It only means white women do.

(I need to point out that I have and will never refer to any white woman as Mama unless she actually turns out to be my biological mama! I have a mama. She's black. There's not a white woman on Earth with enough dedication, backbone, or courage to have been worthy to drink her bathwater.)

I'm done with this conversation because I'm tired of you. I’m not blocking you (yet!) but you need to pause and reflect about what you just did before you interact with me again or you will be.
