What is needed isn't just for the police system to be overhauled by introducing Federal standards for hiring and policing, but overhauling the very idea of stopping people on "suspicion" of criminal activity.

The police need to be prevented from stopping people just because they "think" somebody did some thing. If they didn't catch them in the middle of committing a crime or they weren't called to prevent a crime than they shouldn't be allowed to stop random people on the street just because they think they look like criminals. Not only that but they shouldn't be allowed to stop people for victimless crimes like the suspicion of probably using a drug, expired license plates, or busted tail lights.

Their interactions with black people need to be minimized as much as possible.
