Well, there are times when I definitely dismiss shows that feature straight white guys, but I would argue that its for a different reason than they give: I'm really really tired of looking at the world from that point of view. Been looking at fictional worlds from that point of view for over 40 years and it gets really really boring sometimes. I think that explains my attraction to International films from India, Japan, and China.

But you are right, there's a little thrill one gets seeing people who look like you do all manner of wild and crazy stuff in a fantasy or action scene. I never get tired of that, so I guess the novelty of that hasn't worn off yet.

I do appreciate white guys who can get past their egos and who fall in love with shows and movies that don't center straight white men.
