We have not created a world where people are ashamed to be poor. What we have all done is accept the narrative from the 1%, that those on the bottom deserve nothing, including the ability to buy food, unless they are producing something for them. Trust me, those at the top have no qualms or shame about accepting government “handouts” that they don’t need.

Those at the top have crafted an entire world of narratives that they have brainwashed the rest of us all into believing, to make us feel ashamed not just to need help, but ashamed to ask for it as well, when life happens to us.
