We have a saying on Tumblr: I can’t teach you why you should care about other human beings.

This is said to people who make arguments online against having compassion and care for others, and it’s correct. By the time someone is making arguments against humanity online it’s too late to teach them to care or why they should. They’ve been taught their whole lives, at that point, that not giving a fck about other people is rewarding, even if they’re not getting that same treatment as adults and no one likes/or even loves them. Even after they’ve lost everything through their horrible behavior they still don’t understand why.

You can only reach them when they’re kids. Once they’re grown it’s sometimes far too late.
