Trust me, its impossible for any marginalized person to live in an echo chamber. We ALWAYS know what the dominant society thinks of us and how crap their opinions of us are. They make no secret of invading as many spaces as possible to troll, bully, and just plain bother marginalized people (becasue tormenting others is their whole identity sometimes). And marginalized people do not have the comfort or luxury of delusion. Our lives are easily overturned by the antics of the dominant culture. We have to remain attached to the real world, because that knowledge can sometimes determine whether or not we even get to live.
