Too many of America’s institutional models are built on adversarial relationships in order to make the perpetrators of those institutions feel “dominant”. Americans are brainwashed to only think of the Justice system in the punitive model. Women have long been trying to tell this country that institutional models built on cooperative relationships are better for everyone, the economy, and very probably crime and poverty as well.
