To be fair, the author of that post doesn't live in the US, but I was trying to impress on her that I didn't have the option of not voting, no matter what my personal beliefs might be. I couldn't be okay with myself knowing I did nothing at all to change things, and my world became worst as a result of my own inaction, regardless of my feelings about Capitalism.
