This is the very definition of “death by a thousand cuts”. It’s one thing to occasionally have someone say some racially ignorant gibberish to you, maybe every few months, or couple of years. It’s another thing entirely to have it happen every day.

And when it has happened often enough, there’s also the anxiety of being around white people at all, because of the potential they might say something deeply stupid to you! You have no idea until they open their mouths.

Attempting to limit the amount of pain, caused by someone being stupid to you, by limiting your interactions with white people, gets you branded as racist, which is yet another “microaggression”!
