This is the exact same dynamic that I saw when Meghan and her royal husband chose to leave the UK! Her bullies were incensed! They were outraged that the two of them chose to remove themselves from emotionally and mentally harmful situations and prioritize their own self worth and care!

This is the same thing happening here. How dare she not present herself to be harassed, mocked, and disrespected by trump and his followers!How dare she prioritize her self care and self respect by not putting herself in a space where she can be openly disrespected by the same white people who have done so for the past ten years!

This is a teaching moment for me. It's teaching me about how bullies, harassers, and trolls think about the world, their place in it, and the people they harm, and I think I need to write about that!
