This is the exact same argument used against Black people when we attempt to uplift ourselves. saying that having pride in ourselves is denigrating white people.

Or the same argument used against the queer community that when they celebrate Pride its somehow detrimental to straight people.

I don't understand why people cannot see these patterns of speaking on the marginalized. Reactionaries never say or try new tactics. Its the same arguments used again and again, just disguised with a different vocabulary.
