This is interesting. I’ve ended up in the same all White spaces, even though I grew up in an all Black environment. 🤔

I think the reason I gravitated to things White people found interesting is because of TV, and probably because I thought of White people as exotic! 😄

That turned out to be helpful in getting along in White spaces, but those spaces do come with their expectations of you, and I still haven’t gotten tired of doing and saying things that don’t fit them. There always comes a time when I do or say something that reminds them that I am not their mental picture of me.
