This dynamic is interesting to me because it’s the bad behavior of the occasional members of the privileged group that allows the other members to be considered okay by comparison. They receive the benefit of having passed the lowest bar of simply not being rude, or intimidating, and manage to have their way because we’re so scared they might be “that one”. All they have to do, to get what they want, or establish their superiority in a space, is just be less worse than the last asshole you encountered.
