They’re hoping you e been successfully gaslighted enough to forget thier appalling comments and behavior, or think your memory is only a few months long. Like a lot of bullies their behavior means nothing to them and they probably don’t have any real memory of what they said or did. In fact, if they did fully and completely remember all of it, the things they say wouldn’t be so contradictory. They would be rightfully feel ashamed of what they did, and that would also explain a lot of the doubling down, as well.
