They see him! They know he's vile, stupid, and self involved to a pathological degree. My problem with white people is they want to "civil" and "liked"!. Too many white people think it's rude to be unlikable (and too many of the ones that don't care about being liked just enjoy being assholes to marginalized people) and white women can forget about it. They are socialized from birth to be pleasant to white men (and the ones who do manage to get ahead have to unlearn that as they get older.) There's a reason why there's never been a white version of Jasmine Crockett.

The reason why there are so many Black people (especially women) holding trump to account is because we've learned, on the ground, in the trenches, that in the fight for our rights, incivility is necessary. We must be outspoken, blunt, and righteous in our anger. We must see the real, and call it what it is.Those of us who are involved in that fight cannot afford delusion, and pleasantries all the time. Even Obama had a "translator"!
