There are some things I really do try to excuse as ignorance. I had a conversation with some fellow librarians a few years ago, and we reached the conclusion that there are quite a number of people who simply do not know how to find (or use) "credible" sources of information.

If asked to list credible sources of information they would have no idea what to say (at least part of that has to do with a distrust of those sources).

I have no idea what to do about distrust.
