The sheer irony of the one group of people, who not only invented identity politics by creating racism, and then crafting an entire society around their own identity, suddenly deciding that identities, and the politics surrounding those identities (which they also invented and reinforced, often through violence and erasure) ) are not real, and don't matter, now that their being made to feel bad for having done so, and it's no longer working entirely in their favor. (In other words people don't like them and are talking back to them.)

I am also reminded that it is women who look like them who have often only considered themselves to be true women, often excluding women of color, women with disabilities, and women in poverty, from their versions of femininity and womanhood, so I'm not surprised that it is but a hop, skip, and a jump, for them to start excluding trans women.

They began as they mean to go on, I guess.
