The mainstream media is still operating under the old adage of : If it bleeds, it leads! They do not report positive news or outcomes. And the reporting often distracts Americans to be afraid of things they're largely unlikely to encounter.

My antidote to mainstream media fearmongering, is to stop watching it and look around in my daily life, go outside, touch grass. In other words reconnect to reality and what Im actually experiencing in my day to day to day life. (I've already stopped watching local news. If whatever it is is really important, I'll hear about it from my friends and family.)
