The churchies think the victories they’re experiencing today (helping the political right pass law after law after law against the lives of their friends and families) is the way things are always going to be. It’s not. There will be a reckoning. This little era we’re living in is going to come back to bite them all on the ass at some point, and no one knows what form any of it will take.
