That's not necessarily true. As a middle aged woman I occasionally get appreciative behavior but not the obsessive behavior you're talking about. What I most often encounter (that bothers me the most) are the kind of men who are mean or rude to me because I'm not attractive to them, or because I'm not coddling, caretaking, or submissive to them, which is also something that will be expected of you as you grow older.

People will cast you in the role of mother and grandmother, and you will need to be able to resist that narrative, lest you end up a caretaker of people you don't actually care about.

I've always been wary of men who are just openly rude to me because I'm baffled by that kind of attitude and don't know what men like that will do for not being servile to them.
