Thank you for this! Apparently I'm one of the few people who was deeply unimpressed by the new movie versions of Wonder Woman which, in my mind, are very white feminist. I intensely disliked the first movie, and absolutely hated the second.

Creating an updated WW would require a level of imaginative undertaking that the typically conservative Hollywood simply isn't capable.

That said, I do prefer the Zack Snyder version over the Patty Jenkins version because he's at least not bothering to pretend to be feminist or "empowering". I suspected the Patty Jenkins version was going to be not worth my attention, after I saw, in the first still photos, that the Amazons were 1. all conventionally attractive white women, and 2. all wearing high heels. I figured it wouldn't have anytihng interesting to say about feminism.
