Thank you. This is a good understanding of the issue for someone who doesn’t live here! Maybe it does take someone to see it who isn’t standing too close to it. I think of lot of people who were not born here forget that America is built on a very different foundation than most European countries , that our history isn’t quite as long and complicated (it’s a lot closer) and so still affects a great many things. Black enslavement only ended here a little over 150 years ago. Thats not long ago. That’s not even a drop of water compared to the ocean of history that exists in Europe.
