Thank goodness someone is saying these things! I work in a nonprofit job where I feel my work is actually if benefit. We're constantly told by our supervisors that while our jobs are important they're not the end all and be all and we need to have a life. I'm paid well enough, we have a union, and there are benefits. I'm going to need everyone to have this type of work environment.
