Some of us are already living a simplistic lifestyle...we don't have a choice or even get any say. Some of us have been recycling everything, and holding on to things until they eventually give out or can no longer be revived.

There are people already living off-grid. We call them homeless and immigrants. They didn't get a say about that.

I actually am fairly intolerant of the Minimalist aesthetic anyway, as it mostly seems to involve a lot of beige and white, and I like having and seeing color in my world, but that's an aside.
