Seriously, its like respectability politics for athletes. For racists and bigots, no amount of excellence will ever be good enough. You can follow all the rules, do everything that's asked of you as an athlete, and if you're Black and a woman, someone, somewhere will find a reason (or make one up) to criticize you

Not only is it okay to not be okay, not being okay is a perfectly rational and valid response to the kind of world we live in.
