People like Kanye, those as mentally inert as Kanye who have never thought especially deeply about how the world works, will fight the status quo until they reach a point where the status quo is working for them personally, after which they conveniently forget about all the people who it isnt working for, and start acting to uphold it because they’re in a good place.

I’m going to argue that he never actually gave a shit about the communities from which he came. He cared about getting out and away from them, not improving them or making the lives of those people better. He only ever cared about personal enrichment and only ever had enough enlightenment about how the world works to benefit himself. Now that he’s in a good place we’re just seeing the person he always was underneath the surface level of enlightenment that he sold to enrich his own life.

The problem with a lot of black conservatives is they really think that being as much like white people as possible is what’s going to liberate Black people. They think capitalism is going to save us from capitalism, so ensconcing ourselves even deeper into an ideology that has ethically destroyed white men is what they think is going to free us from oppression. This is men like Kanye.
