People have been trying really hard the past ten years to redefine “bullying” as criticism. People who engage in bullying and punching down, have never been protective people. They’ve never cared about anyone other than themselves, know that bullying is wrong, but don’t want to be regarded as “bad people”. So they seek to redefine certain words to make themselves look better to others. (Actually, there’s a lot of this going around, often done by those who seek to feel better about their actions, through the redefinition of certain terms.)

Sometimes the definitions of words need to be clearly and succinctly stated.
