People are always ready to o online and deploy their hot wrong takes about other people’s bodies, rather than simply listening to the person with that body. They absolutely refuse to understand that dieting can interact badly with whatever underlying health conditions a person could have.

Some people cannot lose weight using their simplistic notion of just eating less food, which could exacerbate an already bad condition!

ETA: I have diabetes and I’m on medication that controls my sugar levels. Dietary restrictions (eating a lot less food) would react badly with that medication. My sugar would drop too low and I could fall into a diabetic coma. My diet is carefully regulated for certain times of day and eating certain kinds of food.
