Omg! I'm so glad I'm not the not person who saw the dialogue happening between these two entertainments!

I was immediately drawn to the idea of these three characters (especially Fontaine) going through the "loops" of behavior until the traumas they endured produced consciousness or enlightenment. (I also saw the parallels in Fontaine's story to the Wheel of Karma and the striving toward Nirvana through rebirth.)
