Oh, this is so true! Western white men want to take credit only for the good things they believe their ancestors did, and do not want to be held accountable for fixing any of the atrocities their ancestors have been called out for.

Not sure if you watched this but one of the most interesting docs I saw, on the topic of white male privilege and arrogance, was Grizzly Man, about Timothy Treadwell, and his delusions about the natural world which ultimately got him killed. That level of hyper individualism that thinks it's superior to the rest of the world while pretending to be humble.
