Oh, I cannot applaud you enough for this! I’ve been saying this for years!

White people invented the identity politics by which they denigrated everyone who wasn’t them, usually in a derogatory or negative manner, but also used for their own benefit, and now that it looks like they can’t exploit their “identity” for cultural profit any longer, we’ve started getting all these disingenuous arguments decrying “identity politics”!

They invented the N*word, and I don’t know how many derogatory terms they’ve invented for other PoC, members of the lgbtqia community, women, the various Indigenous peoples. One of the greatest steps towards autonomy that any marginalized group can make is their own naming. One massive step forward in Black Civil Rights was defining who we are, on our own terms.
