Oh, I agree. It's on white people to seek out friendship with Black people in that case, but on Black people's terms (since Ive met some Black people who are not going to want to be friends).

Back in the 80s the big "gotcha" question was: Why are all the Black kids sitting together in the cafeteria, to which I used to ask why was it on the black kids to make the first overture, or why don't any of the white kids join them?
