Not only all of that but because of Will's reputation as a "nice guy" there have been whole posses of black men disrespecting him and his family for decades now. I wasn't surprised by this response at all. He said it himself, a lot of Black men mistake "nice" for "soft" and disrespect accordingly. Chris just happened to be the receiver on this, rather than someone else. (The only reason I would have preferred he handle this privately is because I don't like it when Black people put personal business in front of white people, because they will most certainly use it to express their anti-blackness, and then we all gotta deal with that.)
