Kevin Conroy was and always will be MY version of Batman. I watched the cartoons in my 20s and his voice is the one I always hear when I think about him, but my favorite moment in the early cartoons is him never speaking a word. It’s an episode where Babydoll was the villain, and at the end of it Batman let’s down his mask just a tiny bit to comfort the deranged girl and show his compassion for her predicament, before she gets taken away to Arkham yet again.

This was a moving tribute to one of my all time favorite voice actors.

We also lost another one of Batman’s greatest artists, Carlos Pacheco, just this month. I remember reading the Batman Superman team up books in the early aughts. I’m going to miss him too!
