Just like with Black people. Our lives, thoughts, and feelings are devalued ,so anything that gets associated with us, from neighborhoods, to fashion, to music, also gets devalued.

The same thing with women. Since women are devalued, anything that gets associated with us, as an interest, also gets devlaued, (most especially if a white man cannot find a way to monetize it for himself.)
