Just because someone is selling something, does not mean that thing MUST be bought, a fact which seems to escape those white people who wish to absolve their ancestors of their shitty behavior, by placing that blame on the backs off those Africans who sought to escape slavery by sacrificing other tribes.

Yes, it was wrong of them to sell their neighboring tribes, but in their defense, they would have been taken in place of the ones they captured, and had no idea the level of atrocity the people they sold would be subjected to. At any rate, many of those nations, in the current age, have taken great pains to acknowledge their past behavior as wrong, apologize, and even extend a welcoming had to the descendants of the enslaved.

What have white people done? Made excuse after excuse! Lied! Derailed! And Patted themselves on the back for slaughtering each other in a pointless war, where the freedom of the enslaved was nullified afterward!

It’s time for white people to miss me with that “other people did it excuse!” That other people are doing something wrong, doesn’t absolve you of doing that same wrong thing! Every step along the way, white people had a choice to be better people, and made the absolute wrong choice Every. Single. Time.
