I've observed that a lot of those same guys operate from this idea that women don't have, or shouldn't have, minds of their own, or shouldn't have separate thoughts from them. They really do think that just because they feel something, or think a thing, she must be in agreement, although how much of that has to do with a history of women being appeasing to men to prevent violence, is unknown.

I'm mean thanks to that whole Inquisition/Witch-burning thing (cuz that happened), women have a long history of simply telling men what they'd like to hear. So even when women say what they mean, some men only hear what they want.
