I’ve been trying not to use the word “privilege, because I feel it’s been overused, and for me, it’s not clear enough. I’ve started using the term “prioritization”. Yes, it’s a mouthful, but it’s meaning seems a little more clear than privilege, maybe. It can also be used with other terms like “male prioritization”.

It doesn’t sound like an accusation, and more like, this is how you’re getting treated, for reasons you didn’t have anything to do with, like being born white. White people’s words, needs, desires, and thoughts, take priority over what people of color want and need.

But I don’t know. People who are feeling some type of way can find a reason, and a way, to vilify any term that gets used.
